Last year I created an Emacs icon which follows Apple’s human interface guidelines.

It is GPL3 licensed and available on GitHub

There are a few differences between this one and the one designed by memeplex.

Although I am Vim user, I enjoyed the exercise of creating this icon with Sketch.
